Susan joins CLC with more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. For the past 10 years, she worked with a Colorado-based Community Health Center, initially as a grant writer and manager and later as Chief Strategy Officer and Interim CEO. Susan discovered her passion for community health as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Central African Republic and in subsequent volunteer work as a medical interpreter and advocate for African asylees seeking health care services. Susan holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and brings extensive experience in grant writing and management, needs assessment, program development and evaluation, and health center operations.
