Prior to coming to work at Community Link Consulting as a Billing Specialist in April 2021, Brenda was employed at Blue Shield of California for 5 years as an Examiner in the Specialized Claims Advisory & Preparation unit. There she specialized in all aspects of claims processing including coding, benefit determination, reviewing claims for medical necessity and potential fraud and case management. She also wrote and helped implement the new BSC dental claims processing and procedural manual. Her diverse background also includes working as an Office Manager in a chiropractic office, Assistant Collections Manager, Child Support Specialist and over 30 years in customer service, sales and web design and development. Brenda is passionate about helping others and providing excellent service and is so excited about the opportunity to do just that through her position at CLC. Though she has also lived in both Alaska and California, she calls North Idaho her home and enjoys spending time with her 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren, as well as cooking, writing/blogging and camping in her free time.
